'Christmas 2017' - cards

Hey everyone so here are a few Christmas cards I made this year. I'm probably a little late to post these but I thought I'd post them before the new year came around!

Card 1 - Stamping, embossing & mists
I used white weave cardstock to create 4 x 5.5 inch notecard for the base of the card. Then I cut some water colour paper to 4 x 5.5 inches and temporarily adhered it to my silicon cutting mat.



I stamped some snowflakes and a Christmas sentiment using versamark ink. Then I added some white embossing powder and heat set the powder. Once it had dried I use some blue and grey shimmer mists mixed with some water to create the background. I started with the lightest shade, dried it with a heat gun and then added the next colour. I made sure to add the darkest shades of blue around the snowflakes and sentiment so they would stand out.

Materials used: Cardstock - white | Watercolour paper | Clear stamps - Frosted, Mint Wishes (KC) | Mists - aqua, denim & winter grey (KC) | Versamark ink | Foam tape

Card 2 - Distress ink & template
I used white weave cardstock to create 4 x 5.5 inch notecard for the base of the card. Then I cut some grey cardstock to 3.75 x 5.25 inches and temporarily adhered a Christmas tree template to it. Using distress ink I blended the colour in the template.


Once the ink had dried I used some versamark ink to stamp a sentiment, added some white embossing powder and heat set it. I adhered the grey cardstock panel to the white card base using some foam tape. To finish I added some white pearls to look like Christmas baubles.

'Anniversary flowers' - card

#HappyAnniversary #Love #Foil Hello paper crafters! Hope all is well. Mini hiatus on the blog posting, playing a bit of catch up on my crafts and studies. I thought I’d share a card that is quite simplistic and elegant. I think it’s perfect for an anniversary or wedding card. *** For this card, I used a white 5 1/4 inch square notecard for the base of the card. I cut a 5 1/8 inch square piece from some plain white cardstock to form the panel of the card. To give this card a bit of dimension, I decided that I should add a thin piece of foam to the back of the panel. I cut a foam piece down to a 5 inch square and adhered it to the back of the panel. 'To know you is to love you' - card

#NativeBreeze #FauxStitching #AustralianFlora Hi all, here's my first papercraft post for 2020. Yes, it's already pretty much 1/4 of the way through the year, but better late than never! So on a recent trip to Kaisercraft, I saw the 'Native Breeze' collection and thought I just had to have it; it's gorgeous! It really showcases the beauty of Australian flora! I only used one patterned paper sheet of the project, but I definitely will be scrapbooking with this paper (hopefully soon)! *** First I cut out an 8 1/4 x 5 7/8 inch piece of black cardstock, scored along the middle at 4 1/8 inches and folded it in half to create a notecard that is 5 7/8 x 4 1/8 inches.
